Motion is Lotion: Movement Is the Key to Aging Well
Keynote Address at the MROO Annual Zone 9 Meeting
On April 16th, I had the pleasure of presenting the keynote address at the Municipal Retirees Organization Ontario (MROO) Annual Zone 9 Meeting. The session focused on practical, evidence‑based strategies to support strength, mobility, balance, brain health, and independence for adults 45+.
We explored why movement is one of the most powerful tools for aging well — and how small, consistent steps can create meaningful improvements in confidence, function, and overall quality of life.
MROO has published a summary of the keynote on their website for anyone interested in revisiting the main themes and takeaways from the presentation.
As a Registered Kinesiologist serving Innisfil, Barrie, and Simcoe County my work centers on helping adults build mobility, strength, and resilience through safe, sustainable movement. Supporting our community in aging well is at the heart of what I do.
